Difference between Lace and Fender Lace?

You know, there are the Lace Sensor Gold and Fender Lace Sensor Gold pickups. And I found that the price for the non-Fender one is generally a little higher on ebay.
So what the difference? Are they manufactured in the same factory? Any tone difference?

My guess is that Fender bought the design and makes the Fender-Lace in their own factory, while the non-Fender Lace is made by Lace themselves. But that's just guess. Anyone has more info about them?

This is incorrect.

Lace makes p'ups FOR Fender, adding the Fender brand, but the design AND the making is all Lace, so GilmourD actually posted the right answer.

I don't think there is any difference. The reason why the Fender labeled ones are cheaper is that the market is flooded with those that came stock in a whole bunch of Fenders over the years.
