Differences between dimarzios...

fine with me
i want to collect some info about these pickups in the bridge of an ASH body , maple neck, rosewood fretboard. floyd rose charvel fusion dinky
it will be used for unholy lots of infamous distortion. probalby tuned down to D, C OR B.
and thats it.

Dimarzios : Tone Zone X The Breed
Dimarzios Neck : Air Norton X The Bridge Neck.
whats the differences between them?

i want tight BASS, lots of crunchy mids, and warmer, almost hot Highs. bridge.
for the neck i m pretty sure i´ll get the air norton, i just want to know what differs the air norton from the breed.

tone zone vs breed= breed has more crunch and is more classic sounding and has a tighter bass
other than that they are very similar
air norton vs breed neck= breed neck is clearer and has more note to note articulation and is hotter in output

I recomend the BREED set as a great metal combo

Sounds like you just described a Super Distortion to me.

But it will get compressed under massive amounts of gain.

Sounds like you just described a Super Distortion to me.

the super D is gonna be waaayyy tighter than a TZ or breed and it has "hot" highs too:beerchug:

also the new EVO 2 is a real A$$kicker i like it much more than the super D

yeah, but... this ash charvel.. previously had a JB in the bridge
and it was ****INGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG VERY BRITLE, FUZZY, HARSHY.
i hated it and sold it as fast as we piss after drinking 1 gallon of pure water.
i´m affraid that the super distortion can sound HARSH/FUZZY ETC

Last I looked I could've swarn this was a Seymour Duncan forum. Was there a merger or buyout? I didn't get the memo.

HAHA! i kinda agree... a lot of Dimarzio posts here lately. i guess people are just opening up to more tone possibilities.:beerchug:

Yeah, but the only mention of any pickups from the host of this forum has been in our signatures......lol. Don't you find that rather odd?
