I was just reading through the pickup section today and I was curious if anybody had tried the hybrid with other mags. Curious specifically about A2...
but that got me thinking...
There's a post by local legend, Blueman, that gets quoted quite a bit about how the Phat Cat sounds with different magnet combinations, it's helped a lot of people out and beyond that's it's just interesting to understand how different mags affect different winds.
Just throwing this out there...but I think it would be really cool and informative (and probably save a lot of new threads being made) to have a sticky with brief descriptions of all the various SD winds and how they sound mag swapped.
Just a couple sentances about how the JB sounds with A2, 8, regular ceramic. How a '59 sounds with A2, 3, 4, 8, etc
I think it's at very least worth considering, I'm sure between all of the crazy tweakers on here we have tried just about every wind with every magnet and it could be a good resource for a lot of the less experienced mag swappers.
