Digitech Hardwire RV-7

I just picked up a Digitech Hardwire RV-7. It looks brand spankin', but when I put a battery in it the light would blink for a couple of seconds and then stop all together.

I tried 2 cables, both known good, and 2 batteries, both known good. I tried the batteries and cable on another pedal, both worked.

Any thoughts fellas?

Have you tried using an external power adapter instead of batteries?
