Dilemma: Air Norton S in the Bridge makes Chopper in the neck too dark/bassy

I like the Air Norton S in bridge and I like the Chopper in the neck but they’re e too far apart, not as balanced as I would like. I have to change amp EQ to compensate. Any reasonable price suggestions?

I really like the chopper in the neck/middle position, dark and bassy wouldn't be how I describe the chopper so that air Norton S must be really bright, you might want to try maybe a super distortion S or if you want even darker than that try a tone zone S, just assuming you want to stay with DiMarzio SC size HB.

I guess you don't need to change pickups. When you use the Chopper in the bridge you can add a 510k ohm resistor from hot to ground. IOW, the resistor is in parallel with the pickup. If you have 500k pots fitted, you will probably find the Air Norton in the neck will be bright enough to create a tonal balance. That is worth a try IMO.

You could also try lowering the Chopper (further away from the strings) first. That will lower the output and bass and mids making it sound a bit brighter/thinner.
