Any of you know the true story on who manufactured the Necks & Bodies for DiMarzio in the early 80's ? THANKS !

charvel did the bodies for a very short time. then the bodies were done by ESP japan and other japanese sources that have never been named. the necks were made by ESP japan also along with the other un-named japanese sources.
the quality is real good on most of that stuff. i have two dimarzio bodies...one charvel style one charvel/strat style with guard. i'm still looking for a dimarzio neck to go with one though.

I heard that Stuart Spector was milling necks for them too. I've got a soft '57 V profile Maple, and just scored a 60's Slab Brazilian style L series profile that should be killer. 2 projects going at the same time. I will post some pics as they become guitars. DiMarzio bodies " un-molested " as well. You got some nice stuff there........... too......... JIM
