Dimarzio bridge, Duncan neck?

My Squire strat is in need of some upgrades in light of the absolute excellent-ness of my Fender strat (:D) and I was thinking of this combination... If I had a DiMarzio bridge humbucker, say PAF Pro, would it match with a Duncan neck pickup, say the Hotrails?

Or is the hotrails too hot for a Dimarzio PAF Pro?

Or would the two different brands start fighting in a really primal territorial 'this is a Duncan/no this is a Dimarzio guitar' way? :22:

You want a neck pickup for the bridge and a bridge pickup for the neck?

There's like a million posts here for Strat pups man, look around and learn what you can...

And one of my Strats has a DiMarzio Super D in the bridge with a Duncan 59 in the neck and they get along just fine...

I'd say hot rails are too hot for a PAF Pro. I had a Super Distortion/Jazz combo and it worked great in an SG. They matched up fine.

They're not exclusively beidge and neck pickups, though. Dave Murray uses hotrails in the neck fine and Adrian SMith uses PAF Pro's in the bridge (both with strats) fine, I was just wondering if they'd match up in the same guitar.

Have you thought of the Cool Rails? A great pickup IMHO, and plenty hot even though the name says cool. Certainly not as hot as the Hot Rails, but it might be a better match output wise. My experience with the Cool Rails in the bridge though. I know others (esp Artietoo) have used it in the neck.
