DiMarzio PAF Pro / Duncan 59 combo?

Hi

Whats' your thought on combining a PAF Pro in the bridge with a SH1-59 in the neck? The guitar in question is an Ibanez S-series guitar with mahogany body/bubinga top.
I'm pretty familiar with the 59 neck but I haven't even tried the PAF Pro. How different would you say they are? I prefer the pickups in my guitar to be somewhat similiar in character rather than having two different animals.

Sorry, I don't have any personal experience with the PAF Pro, but I DO know that I have never liked the 59 in the neck But, hey, you're already familiar with it so I can't rely offer any help.

I think it would work fine as long as you keep the '59N's height conservative. Compared to the '59B, the PAF Pro is beefier in the lows and mids, yet still with an open-sounding PAF-ish vibe, with a hint of the vocal DiMarzio mids, and with a snappy attack rather than the snarl the '59 seems to have.

They're different, but I wouldn't say they won't work together. They've both got the 8K-ish wind open uncompressed airy tone.
