Dimarzio Super D in RG 321

Re: Dimarzio Super D in RG 321

One final question.

From what i can read throughout older threads on this board, the Super D has a "classic" sound. Does that mean that Thrash/Melodic death metal is far out of its reach? Everyone compares it to Kiss, Maiden and Priest (not bad bands) but that is pretty far from what i'm trying to achieve.

No it can do anything except what can only be done with active pickups. I played the Super 3 today on a Jackson pc-1 Phill collen strat. It is a hot pickup. Less bass, less treble than the Super D. It could be a better choice for you than the Super D.
