Dimarzio Super Distortion ---> W O W !!

I got my Ibanez back from the guitar shop today. I had a Super Distortion and a Super 2 installed: all I can say is holy crap. That is the 70's classic heavy metal tone. Without even tweaking my amp or my eq pedal, I had the Ace Frehley tone I was looking for. Not to mention, that Ace plays a Les Paul, and my Ibanez is a thinner body, bolt neck, no maple top, etc. that couldn't be more different than a Paul. That's one pickup that won't be getting sent back!

Hey I was wondering if you got the super 2 installed in your neck?

I just dropped off my guitar the other day to get it installed in my neck of my strat.

If you got it installed in the neck can you tell me how it sounds or could you put up a clip of it if possible?

man, i wanna try one now >.<

this is pretty much my view on DMZs - they're wicked for higher-gain territory, and for 'signature' tones - radically shaped EQs, and generally instantly recognisable tones..

SD's are more versatile IMO, and i play a lot more clean/crunch stuff anyway

ive been thinking of trying a super distortion.......but i dont have any guitars that im unhappy with the pickups! haha. looks like i gotta buy another guitar with crappy pickups so i can try it out

WOW was the exclaimation i made too- when i tried the Dimarzio Super Distortion. however, having tried Duncan's Distortion subsequently, the WOW got louder somehow...

They do sound nice...in every other guitar I've heard with them. I had one many moons ago in a LP, and I think theidiot wired it wrong inr etrospect. It was very thin and "small" soounding. I jes figgered it was crap pup at the time. I've got a double cream sittin around now that MAY go into one of my axes.

I also bought an Super2...how do you feel about that one in the neck?

i am so tempted to try dimarzios in my les paul! i was thinking about a set of evolutions, or maybe an evo and an air norton. tell me how the super 2 sounds, and if that will match the evo well.

I may be selling a F-spaced black one that is in like new shape
I just tried the super 3 a few days ago but traded it for a custom with someone here.
The super disotortion is nice but not my cup of tea
I would also consider trading it for a duncan neck pup(black only)
