Re: dimarzio with seymour duncan?

Don't rule out a SuperD..surprisingly good neck pup if you are not looking for a PAF style tone...

I think a super2 would work better, basically it's a SuperD made to be in the neck.

Great options given. It really depends on what you desire for output from a neck pickup.

Both could be used. The Super Distortion is actually good neck pickup as long as you don't use it with a high amount of gain. Ace Frehley used it in all 3 positions in his Les Paul.

Super 2 is MUCH brighter and has ALOT less bass than A SuperD. Not my kind of neck tone...its more like a thinner full shred..or a higher gain PAF Pro.

SuperDs iin my Space Ace were awesome...all 3 positions...not PAF-ish..but good nonetheless in the neck and middle. Very good for a John Sykes neck tone....

The Air Norton is a popular neck pup. Its qualities are in between a Jazz and a Full Shred neck. Its a great pup, but I generally like brighter tones with moderate output for the neck, so I use all three of those models in different guitars paired with higher output bridge pups (SD Distortion, DMZ Steve's Special, etc.)
