Dimarzio's NORTON? any good?

I've been meaning to try this one....although I'm skeptical it will work for me. I tried the PAF Pro and I liked it.....but something was missing for me. I'm afraid that this one is in that same "vein" of big-mids, medium output, A5 pickups that Dimarzio has....

I tend to like their ceramics better when it comes to pickups with big mids...always seems a little tighter.

It's sort of the JB of the Dimarzio line in my opinion. Very versatile, and does a lot of things well. It had a spike in the upper mids that I didn't dig though. It made it hard to get smoother sounds that didn't grind. Awesome pickup for metal and rock though.

Air Norton, i got one in my strat neck, with an evolution in the bridge, its great!!!, im into all kinds, including jazz, rock, fusion, and the Norton is perfect for me, not muddy, strong, and its true that u even get cool harmonics.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He wasn't talking about the Air Norton. It is a totally different pickup from the Norton.
