Dimebucker in Basswood

I read like mostly all the threads on Dimebucker... But i'd like a signal if I should go ahead in my situation. Alright, here's the deal, I have a JB installed right now at bridge on my cheap Washburn basswood, and thats the sound I'm used to. It rocks, I think however itd rock if it had some more BITE. I saw Dime live and he sounded AWESOME. and I can pretty much nail his tone with my setup, my JB -> Rocktron Metal Planet -> Behringer GX212. I love the scream Dime gets live... and on the recordings.

So I'm looking for something that is in your face, a step up still from the JB, and perhaps with better pinch harmonics..

I'm planning on buying a Ibanez RG (Basswood body/rosewood fretboard) and my tone with the JB is pretty hollowed on the mids, and I feel I push the bass up to a point where Jazz's bass is overwhelming on my distortion pedal.

Is the Dimebucker the screaming, growling, monster with bite I need?

Thanks Man, its 3:30 am and I cant go to sleep, give me something to read soon

I havent heard the dimebucker, but you may also want to try the Invader, sounds like it could do the job you want, and i believe dime used to use it before the dimebucker, so it will defiantly nail his tone too.

Thats cool, I want something that will blend will a 59'

I think the invaders may have too many mids for me and not enough bass. The Dimebucker seems to be the only really hot pickup with the EQ where I want it, I believe. I want to make my setup scream even better than a JB.

dime uses a 59 in the neck with his dimebucker so they match up well.

i think youll like the dime for the tone you described, havent tried it thru the gear you own but its a great pup.

Sweet, Thanks alot Forbes and Jeremy
I'm quite sure i'll get a great tone as I can still get a pretty good in your face tone with the JB
