Can anyone say what a Dimebucker might sound like in a LP bridge.
Ive got one in a Jackson and I'm thinking of giving it a try.
(I prefer the tone of the D.Db and Jazzb to the JB which is too top heavy for me.
Cheers

Check out the band Anberlin (should be some stuff on youtube), they use Dimebuckers in their LPs.

Like poop. Listen to Dimebag's tone. Awesome player and killer riffer, but do you like the hornet's nest tone?

Re: Dimebucker in LP Bridge?

Yup, hornets nest tone about nails it. If you dig that, you will love it. If you like tons of fuzzy treble, it is for you.

Re: Dimebucker in LP Bridge?

How does thew Dime react to low gain or clean situations?

Theodie, can you compre it to the JB or Demon?

Re: Dimebucker in LP Bridge?

Whoa you serious?

Yeah, at least they use them on their second album, I saw it on a little bonus DVD that came with one of their cds. Its full, not fizzy at all, ballsy, but they don't have a lot of gain on their amps. I don't know HOW they got it to sound exactly opposite of what its supposed to sound like, but other people on this board have also vouched for its hidden versatility. It probably needs a compressor for starters.

Re: Dimebucker in LP Bridge?

Am I the only person in the world who likes the Dime's tone (the player, not the pickup)?? and im not into that kind of distortion either...but I just love it...it's in your face destruction that cuts and kicks it way out...not to mention the way the harmonics....SCREEEECH!!!!!! To me that tone is 666% metal...

Re: Dimebucker in LP Bridge?

I'm gonna put a Dime in the NECK of a D-tuned LP one of these days....
