dimension of neck's guitar

Hi people, i'd like to know the dimension of neck's guitar. I saw into jackons' site the dimension of the thickness of neck and not the height from the first and the 12nd fret.
Models are: KV2, KVX-10, KV2T.
I'm asking you this since i've got a jackson DXMG and i like a lot the neck because it's not too thickness but it's very height and this is good for height strings.

Thanks in advance, bye

Re: dimension of neck's guitar

I'm not exactly certain what it is you are asking. The dimensions that they give are the thickness of the neck plus the fingerboard at the 3rd and 12th frets (0.775" and 0.835" respectively for the KV2). The fret wire will add typically ~0.03-0.05" thickness. The height at the 1st fret will be a bit small but not much. Your DXMG has a little bit thicker neck than the KV2 0.775" at the 1st fret and 0.880" at the 12th fret.

Re: dimension of neck's guitar

Sorry for my bad english. I wanted to know height of the fingerboard.
My DXMG has 1.83" at 3rd fret and 2.04" at 12nd fret.

Thanks again.

I see. You are talking about the width of the neck at particular positions. For the guitars that you are talking about, the neck widths ( or taper of the neck/fingerboard) should be similar. The taper of is determined by the nut width, the distance of the outer strings to the edge of the fingerboard, scale length, fingerboard length and the string spread. If all of these are equal amongst the guitars that you have listed, then the fingerboard taper will be the same as well. However, the neck thickness may differ for each model. Hope this helps.

As in thickness (how "tall" th ebony /Rosewood slab is) or as in Profile front to back?

The measurements you´re giving sound more like neck-profile or more width to me.... ;)

If you´rte looking @ width, all Production Jacksons have a nut width of 1 11/16" and a butt (heel) width of 2 1/4". The difference is in the profile :)
