T Teleplayer Active member Jul 7, 2025 #3 The P90 and Tele pickups already have metal base plates built in, so I doubt that shielding pickup cavity will have much effect. IMO, it fine to just shield the control cavity, but more for ESD and RF noise than any effect due to mains buzz.
