Direct mount tele bridge

Will shielding my bridge pickup cavity make any difference if the pickup is direct mounted? Should I also do my p90 neck cavity as well?

shielding has nothing to do with mounting style. it might help with 60hz hum and it wont hurt

The P90 and Tele pickups already have metal base plates built in, so I doubt that shielding pickup cavity will have much effect. IMO, it fine to just shield the control cavity, but more for ESD and RF noise than any effect due to mains buzz.
