Dirty Fingers in the bridge, i need a good match for the Neck!

I decided on the Gibson Dirty Fingers in the bridge of my Les Paul Custom (its a 78', maple neck).

I like the 59' in the neck but i'd like something with the same vibe but more powerful. Whats your suggestion?

A Dirty Fingers with less magnetism.

A screamin demon is pretty nice in the neck.

but isnt the Screamin Demon too weak compared to the DF?

Not really, the screamin demon is 10k or so, more than the jazz, 59, full shred & a2 pro, which are all 7-8k winds. These all balance pretty well with hotter 14-16k bridge winds, mostly because there is much less string movement and thus energy closer to the bridge.

The Duncan distortion neck is a very hot neck pickup too, at 12.5k it's basically an underwound custom, but with an a4 or a5 magnet instead of the ceramic it can be very nice.

Either the Dirty Fingers neck, or the Demon are excellent choices.

Be a man: Another Dirty Fingers.

It's what John Sykes would do...

Sykes has a T-Top in the neck.

I would recommend a PAF Pro. I had that in my black Les Paul Standard. It has that creamy sustainy lead sound that Sykes is known for, and it has good cleans. Matches right up with DF in terms of output etc. It is not a usual Les Paul pickup, but it works quite well with the Dirty Fingers. :)

I did not know he left the T-Top in there...

Learn something new everyday.

I still say Dirty Fingers Neck.

I have never tried a DF in the neck. Are you talking about a neck version of it, or just stuffing another bridge pickup in the neck? Because I dont think Gibson makes the neck version anymore, if they ever made it of course.

I know Viv Campbell used two X2Ns in his black les paul for a while. The neck pickup tone was quite good actually.
