what MIGHT work, if not for the baseplates being off. I've tried it and you may need to redrill the holes for the holding screws or whatever you wanna call those little brass screws that hold down the bobbins to the baseplate.
That being said. the super distortion uses a brass baseplate, which will 'round over' the treble end considerably.
My SD/DD hybrid is one nasty m.f. lots of bite and bark, super tight in the low end, slightly chunky in the middle and treble detail that's very hard to get in another pickup. it's hard and cutting but not harsh or shrill. Using the duncan baseplate yields a brighter pickup. Let's put it this way: DMZ baseplate+mag: roaring bark. SD baseplate +mag: screaming grind.
