Hi, I have an Ibanez RG570EX with Basswood body, I'm going to use a couple of Duncan Distortion TB-6 on my Guitar, and corresponding to the user manual, it's not so suitable to use it in the neck position, but i don';t have any other choice. Please tell me your idea about the result sound in the case of use this PU on neck, and also please help me with any hint to use in this way(on the neck) and match it up(TB-6) with my Guitar.

Re: Distortion Trembucker ==> NECK ?!?!??!

A TB-6 will be IMO too hot for the neck as well has having a major misalignment between teh strings and poles.

IMO not a good Idea, period. it will function, but not optimally in any sense of the word for most purposes.

But why do you have no other choice? The SH-6 is the same pickup in a normal spacing, and the SH6n is the neck specific version of the Duncan distortion, and it will sound significantly better IMO as well ;)

You should try the TB-6 in the bridge and SH-6 neck model for the neck. Great pickups.

yes, the SH-6bridge and sh-6neck combination.
also known as the Distortion set!

cant go wrong with them if you're going all out rock/metal!
split the neck pup and u get nice cleans.
