D'Lite 22 Clips (My 1st Build)

Re: D'Lite 22 Clips (My 1st Build)

WOW!! That sounds awesome!!! Great job of playing and of building that amazing amp!! That had to feel like the best notes you've ever played. For you, I mean! Good job!!!:beerchug: you should be proud!!

Re: D'Lite 22 Clips (My 1st Build)

I followed your build thread on that, and have been waiting for the clips. Sounds FANTASTIC! Tasty tones, tasty playing!

Re: D'Lite 22 Clips (My 1st Build)

Everybody likes the pix and all but almost everyone immediately says ... what's it sound like. The amp is really easy to play, is quiet and has a lot of range. So it will take a little time to get tuned in to it. But playing it is very enjoyable.

You're right that I had a grin that could not be removed for a couple of days when I strummed that first chord. Holy crap ... it works? I was absolutely jazzed.

Over the next few weeks, I'll try to start recording songs with it. But I just wanted to get a bit of the raw sound out.

Sounds amazing. I hope my Ceriatone sounds close to that!

Its like Dumble meets Marshall meets Trainwreck.

Bytheway - you should play more slide in your clips. ;)

That's some beautiful playing and a great sounding amp. I really liked the sounds you got with the Legacy. . .

Re: D'Lite 22 Clips (My 1st Build)

That is so sweet! :D

The build looked really nice and I've read a lot of good things about Brown Note's kits, but your clip is just great. Hadn't expected the overdrive tone to be that warm & fat (slide part especially).

Re: D'Lite 22 Clips (My 1st Build)

Thanks for the feedback and nice comments. I highly recommend the process as I've said before. If you are detailed oriented, it's a cool experience and you'll learn a lot.

There seem to be lots of sounds in the amp ... I'm a newbie to it ... but it feels very touch sensitive ... but it doesn't feel too complex to operate.

As I learn more about it, I'll try some other music styles ... other guitars ... swap out the 2x10 speakers with my 1x12 EVM12-L. I bet this amp will sound good with it too.

Later I might try some 6L6 power tubes in it ... but first I want to exhaust the 6V6s.

Re: D'Lite 22 Clips (My 1st Build)

How did I miss that one?

Organic tone, compressed just as much as needed, very airy. I'm jealous! Tasty playing.
