Do DPDT Push-Pull Pots Fit In Les Paul Specials?

Hi all...

Just wondering is Les Paul Special's Control Cavity is deep enough for DPDT Push-Pull Switched Pots?

Might add some P-Rails to one if yes?

Thanks...

I've fit them in every guitar I've had, solid body, 335's and hollowbodies. In a few SG's they've been tight, and the back plate may bow out very slightly in the middle, but I can still get all the screws in properly. I'm of the opinion you can get a push-pull in anything, without modifying or breaking it.

It depends- whether it's Long shaft- for a thick Les Paul top, or short shaft. I bought an allparts push/pull pot from Guitar Center that turned out to be long shaft, and it was too long and wouldn't fit in a PRS SE. I ordered the push pull pots from Guitarelectronics.com, which were short shaft, and they fit fine.

I did recently find I had a Tele that had a shallow cavity in [Asian - not US] I had to swap over all the pickups and wiring into another project to be able to finish. Same result, different guitars to my original intention.

It was the switch housing that was the issue for me not the shaft length! [Just remembered]

I suggest you measure first, but yes it's possible.

Are Push/Push switches shallower?

On a friend's project I couldn't put in the Pots I intended because the cavity was too narrow!
