Yes, but you have to remove the preamp that plugs into 5 pin connector on the bottom of the pickup and get an EMG passive molex/idc connector. But I have done it. The pickups sounded better passive then active. You would also have to change the potentiometers from 25k to 500k (or anything 250k and above).
Lemons are great. I used fresh-squeezed lemon juice to put the shine back on a couple dingy cymbals.
Let it sit for awhile after speading it around, then squeeze-out some more and repeat,,,,,,20-30 minutes and they look like new cymbals!
It's like 50x cheaper than the crap they sell for cymbal cleaning.
