Do Gibson P90 fit in Epi Casino ?

I want to drop in a pair of Gibson P90 dog ear pickups into my 2018 Epiphone Casino Coupe. I will adjust the heights with Lollar shims.
Are they expected to fit? Somebody gave me a used set.

You can make them work, using Gibson dog ear covers, not the stock Epi covers. That means you have to convert to plastic covers, or track down old Epi or Gibson U.S.A. chrome covers (big $$$).

I have been told the Chinese Epi Casino has 48mm pole spacing and the Gibson p90 a 50 mm pole spacing... is that s problem though? Seems very slight

It only seems slight until you try and put one cover onto another. Even the 49.2 to 50mm is no chance at all of working.

You do need to use covers that match the pole pieces exactly. But thinking deeper, Gibson might have reproduced some 330's with chrome covers in recent years, or there might be someone who makes aftermarket chrome covers for Gibson P-90's. That would mean that maybe you don't have to track down old '60's ones.

Or you just go to the plastic covers and call it good. It's not a bad look IMO.
