Do I need to bias this amp?

This question is asked regularly. It is important to take for granted that every tube amp needs to be biased until you find out otherwise. Never take the opposite for granted.

I was made aware of the following situation on HC in another forum. The link is a sad commentary of when you decide to not bias an amp when it really needed it.

My guess also OPT. The voltage/heat could have done other damage, but it does point to the Output Tranny.
