Do I need to bridge ground using EMG wiring for Blackout AHB-1s?

Hello all, Just received my new set of Blackouts in amazing black chrome finish through the mail! Have read it is perfectly okay to unplug my EMGs and plug in the Blackouts straight into the quik connectors. Only thing is i notice there is no ground to bridge on the EMG wiring inside the control cav of my guitar, but the diagram that came with the Blackouts shows one. Do I need to definitely do this bit of ground wiring? Will I fry my new Blackout pups if I don't? Any help would be great guys thanks.

i had the exact set up but i never had to connect a ground and i did not fry the pickups..not sure why SD uses a ground connection with their Blackouts

Thanks for the help guys, have switched my pickups over and re-strung in all of half an hour, as well as having spare wiring kit for my next guitar project.
No problems at all, Great tone from the Blackouts, far superior to the EMGs.

Guitar info:

Ibanez RG archtop in black, black-chrome hardware throughout, ebonized rosewood fretboard with ninja-star inlays (Metallica) ; Seymour Duncan AHB-1 pickups on 1 vol/1 tone 3 way selector, Ernie Ball 9-42 super slinkys. F***in Awesome.

Ya thats good to know as I disconnected my Ground on my RG due to thinking it may be what is picking up the TV and causing the hum. I never reconnected it so I am glad it causes no problems that would suck if i killed my PU's by something simple like this :)
