Do Norton and Air Norton work as a team?

 How would that combo work in a Les Paul for playing hard blues rock? I'm looking for something that sounds identifiably Les Paul but with an edge, not over the top though.

I've had an Air Norton neck and Air Zone bridge in this guitar and could not bond with the bridge sound, too modern. I really did like the AN in the neck though. Would a regular Norton bridge pair up well for this application?

Oops, had to edit the original post. I meant I liked the AN in the neck, not the AZ!

I did try the AN in the bridge and it wasn't too bad, but it didn't have the mojo that it had in the neck. I thought perhaps the Norton would be a better bridge pickup. Just wondered if it's too close to the AN to be much different sound or output-wise?

Well, the Tone Zone and Air Zone aren't worlds apart output wise, so I would imagine the Norton and Air Norton wouldn't be, either.

You could always drop an A8 magnet into the Norton to give it a little extra oomph.
