most models are already wax potted..only the "vintage" style pickups aren't wax potted for that "vintage" sound

Well, I dunno, I'd call the '59 pretty vintage, and that one's wax potted.
The Seth Lover model is not wax potted. Nor are the antiquities if memory serves me correctly.
AFAIK, It wouldn't be a good idea to pot either as well. I've heard that those two use "period correct" plastics for their bobbins which are more likely to melt (and thus, ruin the pickup), if you expose them to temperatures necessary for wax potting. Dunno how much truth there is to that though.
