Do you need to modify a Strat to fit in JB Jr pickups?

Re: Do you need to modify a Strat to fit in JB Jr pickups?

No. They're the same size as standard single-coil Strat pickups - they just swap straight in.

You shouldn´t have to, that´s the whole idea behind them ;)

Re: Do you need to modify a Strat to fit in JB Jr pickups?

Thanks for the input guys, I know they're single coil sized but I read somewhere that they were a little wider in length. I might have been mistaken for Duckbuckers or QP or something like that.

AFAIK ALL of the SD Single coils and stacked Hums/ Rails/Minihums will fit in a standard strat w/o any issues ;)

I didn't have any problems. You shouldn't either.

Re: Do you need to modify a Strat to fit in JB Jr pickups?

the only thing i've ever heard in the way of trouble was that the top of the bobbin sometimes needed a bit of a push to fit through on rare occasions - the pickup still goes through, but you gotta be a bit less than gentle ;)

Hey Pac, I might be buying my partner's sister's Squier Strat from the 90's then I'm going to turn it into a Maiden machine :D
