DOA DDJ

I'm hoping maybe someone has use for this. I acquired a DDJ in a lot. The seller said it was working fine when they pulled it a few years ago, and that it has been sitting in a box since. I get no reading on my meter. I stripped it down to the copper coil leads, and still nothing registered. It appears to be dead.

Based on a bit of research, this appears to be from the mid 80s. It has wood spacers. The cloth tape was not in great shape so I didn't attempt to stick it back on.

Maybe this will be of value to someone. No idea what a fair price might be, make an offer!

Buyer pays actual shipping cost.

That's a nice one, 1983-85/86 generation. Would make a great project.

Definitely interested.

What's your asking price?

Re: DOA DDJ

Well, an asking price would be a shot in the dark for me. I have no idea the going rate for dead pickups. Care to make an offer?

I think my only stipulation is that the buyer pays actual shipping.

Re: DOA DDJ

If it's dead, it's not going to be worth too much. For someone that knows what they're doing, it could be an easy fix.
I've only tried to fix a pickup once where I had to re attach lead wires to coil wires and it was a miserable task.
Sending it into the Custom shop for repair, when they reopen, would cost almost as much as a new pickup.
Just things to think about when setting a price.

Then just ask what you think is a fair price.
