Does anyone here actually own an EVH Striped Series guitar?

I know everyone has opinions about these things, but I would really like to hear from people who actually own one. Was it worth the money, or do you have second thoughts? Is the Fender Wolfgang pickup good right out of the box, or will I need to put a Custom Custom in it? Is the Floyd any good? IS the neck pretty stable, or do you have to adjust it often? How well doews it stay in tune?

Please let me know what you think. I have achance to pick one up off Craigslist for about 1/2 the MF new cost. Curious if those who actually own one think it is worth it. (Also wondering why CL Dood would be selling his so cheep???)

I saw that thread. Some people saying they want one, and other saying it is overpriced because it is Mexican. A bunch of BS opinions, but no real information from people who actually own one. That's why I asked in this thread to hear from people who actually own one

Dude.... Take the time to actually read through the whole thread. The OP describes his experiences with it later on, even comparing it to other guitars.

i've played a few of them. i like the sound and the look, did not like the neck. it was really thin with a very flat radius. i much preferred the neck on the frankenstein. obviously that one was $25K, but the neck profile was extremely comfy. I ended up with a black and yellow striped body, still waiting to get the right neck for it.

I have one and like it a lot. Excellent guitar for the money, don't be swayed by people criticizing it for being Mexican made, it's higher quality than many american made guitars.

My only issue is it makes you want to shred and reach for a neck pickup- so if you'd rather have a neck pickup over the fancy paint, look at their new redesigned Wolfgang Special. It's now the same price, improved specs, jumbo vs vintage frets and the wider neck the striped series has

I broke down and got one, based largely on your observations jmh151. I really like it, though the D-Tuna got on my nerves pretty quickly. I took that off, put on a fresh set of strings, and am now enjoying the heck out of it : )
