Does Seymour himself have a hand in the making of every custom shop pickup order?

Seymour has retired.
Going a few years back now.

He will wind special sets, but he isn't there for day-to-day orders.

I figure it’s a long shot, but I put a request in the note section of my recent order for Seymour to autograph my pickup. Thought it’d be a cool touch.

He may well still autograph the Custom Shop sets. I know he does the Antiquities.

He might do this, and it completely OK to ask. You have a good chance of that happening, as opposed to him actually building it these days.

I'm a big fan of the SD custom shop. Hope your pickup rocks. Mine was an awesome pickup and they definitely surpassed my expectations

gsammo79 , what pickup did you have made ? I just received my custom 4 days ago . Installed it 2 days ago . I really like the way it came out . I only have a couple of hrs. on it so far .

I had a moderately scooped A5 humbucker wound to 12k. It's based on the "gimme all your lovin "zz top tone. MJ did a great job too.

Your custom 4 is a cool idea, man. Of all the variations in the custom family, this is the first time I've heard about an a4 (as far as I can remember) concept.

I guess there are trends. I almost went A2 but I am glad I got this one done. I am still getting to know how it reacts but so far it is amazing . I expected it would have been less winds but hell I don’t know. Lol
