Does the '59/Custom hybrid buzz?

Given that the coils are not equal (I assume)?

On a normal humbuckers where both cools are the same, they cancel each other out, right?

A big part of the Hybrid's magic is that the coils are very different, not just their strength but also the wire- different kinds of insulation and different gauges. So it won't be quite as quiet as a humbucker whose two coils are identical. But mine isn't noisy at all; certainly much less hum than any regular singlecoil.

Still way quieter than any single coil, lol

Unequal coils is not an uncommon concept in the world of humbucker manufacturing. Dimarzio has a somewhat similar thing called Dual Resonance, and I own pickups that have it (Evolution, Tone Zone) and they are nice and quiet like any humbucker should be.

I have a few...and they don't buzz or hum, although I don't use insane amounts of gain.
