Does this exist?

I want to know if I can have it all in one pickup...

Guitar: neck-through "super strat", Floyd Rose trem.

Amp: Vox 60 watt VTX.

Style: mostly distorted lead playing but also articulate chord work.

Desired sounds: nasty at times, articulate, chunky for palm mutes etc.,
great lead tone, cutting but not piercing, not muddy but heavy, harmonicaly rich.

This is the last piece of my puzzle....(at least for now )

Help on this would be greatly appreciated....thanks all !!

My first suggestion would be the Duncan JB. It's a great starter pickup, meaning from there - it's a lot easier to nitpick at the things you don't necessarily like and we can take it from there.

With that being said, the JB is a GREAT pickup! Arguably, one of the best lead pickups out there with its very throaty uppermids. It holds up great under high gain and still retains all of its clarity and dynamics.

It's also got a great round bottom end that's very smooth. Some argue that it's bottom end isn't as tight as they'd like (and I can partially understand), but at the same time it's bass response is very squishy feeling and I think that it's a really fun aspect of the pickup.

All around, it's my favorite bridge model and I think that the vast majority can agree with me that it's got that special something that a pickup should have, probably the fact that it lets the guitar's true voice come out more than any other pickup out there. Very airy and again, throaty tone.

BUY IT!

Since everyone has recommended high output pickups, I'll go in a different direction and recommend the Blues Trembucker. It's by far the most versatile bridge pickup I've ever used. With the right amp, it'll do everything you mentioned.

id say a full shred. i personally dont think its a high output pickup but its an excellent articulate sounding pickup
