I'm looking for some p/u height screws with a 'domed' top, not oval or simply rounded, but totally above the pickguard 'domed'. N/A at Home Depot.
Thanks

Re: DOMED p/u chrome screws~~

Are you talking about something like whats in the Invader or a standard acrew with a domed top?

Re: DOMED p/u chrome screws~~

I'm not sure what the heck you're talking about. All height adjusting screws fit above the pickguard and are round headed.

Are you talking about just a regular round-head machine screw?

Re: DOMED p/u chrome screws~~

I’ve purchased many replacement screws from Home Depot. I’m not sure why you can’t find what you need there. There’s a huge selection.

Re: DOMED p/u chrome screws~~

The reason that it's important to clarify hieght adjusters or pole screws, is that pole screws need to be a certain metal composition, or they won't work right. (At least, according to the Duncan FAQ.)

Re: DOMED p/u chrome screws~~

Height adjusters. Totally round with no flat top to it.
NoGo @ the Depot. Thnx

Re: DOMED p/u chrome screws~~

Dude...seriously...you're confusing everyone

Can you post a pic of what you're trying to find?

Re: DOMED p/u chrome screws~~

It is stated extremely poorly, but I think the OP might be talking about the "flat" or "divot" that is often present on screw heads. I don't know if that's what the OP means, but I know I have been annoyed by this in the past.

No, he doesn't want "pan-head". He said, "no flat top to it". To me that sounds like he wants ROUND-head.

The screw I referenced has a rounded head. I couldn’t get the exact link to work, that’s why I included what to type for the search.

Edit:
When I did my original search I did type “pan head” but as I scrolled through I found the round head in the pic I posted. The link wording might be a bit misleading.
Link seems to be working properly now too....it brought me to the round head I posted.

That's a very interesting screw...it looks like a combination of pan-head and round-head. It has the sides of a pan-head and the dome of a round-head. But it's not a true round head screw which has the dome going all the way down to the bottom of the head with no sides to it at all.

Re: DOMED p/u chrome screws~~

zozoe, why are you not responding to all of the questions and comments on your thread? Are you not interested anymore? Have you already found what you are looking for...in which case let us know. Or are you just a troll (which we have to assume if you don't respond)?

So are you looking for something other than a round-head screw (noting the difference between round-head and flat-head). Round-head screws are found in abundance just about everywhere. Why are you having a hard time finding them?

Yeah, I hadn’t noticed the flatter sides until you pointed it out. Very interesting screw...
I would imagine it would/could still work for the op’s intended application.

Yes, of course it would. Even if it's not exactly what he's looking for, it will work perfectly. Plus no one is ever going to see it anyway. Even a pan-head would work. I'm not even sure exactly what he's looking for.

Re: DOMED p/u chrome screws~~

Doesnt really seem that he knows what he wants or if he does, hes not explaining it very well.
