Done fixing up my Carvin Bolt kit guitar

I've been working at it for a few weeks, I have my Carvin Bolt kit redone I think. I had the frets leveled because they had quite a bit of wear on the first 6-7 frets. I put a 59 in the neck and a JB with an Alnico 2 magnet in the bridge. A 500k volume (with treble bleed) and 500k tone pots with the last pot being a push-pull pot for coil split. I ordered the custom volume and tone knobs and they look awesome, but are pretty tall so I'm not 100% sure I'm leaving them on. The guitar plays and sounds amazing.

I love the way everything looks, but I have to say I don't like guns. Don't get me wrong, I think you did a smashing job!

I've always been curious about those kits. They seem like they are some of the better ones you can get.

They are awesome. Mine has a one piece mahogany body. Good quality parts, but I never did like carvin pickups much so I swapped them out. I've had this guitar since 2000 and played it a lot. Now after getting the frets leveled it plays great again and with the new electronics and pickups it has never sounded better.

My Carvin has the "whatever" bridge and the "Frank Gambale" in the neck. I gotta say, even though they are fugly, they function tight.

Ignore the holopophobe :D Those knobs have to stay!!! I'd just deal with the tallness. :headbang:

Looks great.
Looks like at least two piece body, however. Looks like the book match joint down the middle.

It's not a book match. I should have taken a pic of the back that shows it more clearly. I'll try to post a pic of the back tonight and you can see that's just how the grain goes.

I guess I shouldn't have posted about my custom made volume/tone knobs if this is going to turn into a political debate.

Never had one pointed at you I assume? Usually that is the case. It's like sports, it's only fun if you win, when you are on the other side it's miserable.

Oh how so very wrong your assumption is. You have no idea.
