Doomental Metal- a short "he's not quite right" sounding thing

Re: Doomental Metal- a short "he's not quite right" sounding thing

WTF man, what were you trying to do at 9s? :P I don't know if you wanted opinions, but the initial riff is very good, as well as the one around 33s...Just IMHO, if you want to sound weird, try to write something more simple, and with the same BPM throughout and maybe in 4/4...IDK, my 2 cents. ^^ :1:

(PS: I read in an interview with the Meshuggah guitarist, that they like to write weird stuff in 4/4)

Yeah, I like when bands like Meshuggah sound like they are playing in odd timimg when in fac6t it's 4/4/ with some really creative accenting and grouping going on.

I do appreciate the constructive criticism, but I really don't like to intentionally premeditate my weird stuff- I like to just be totally compositionaly free.

BTW- the sludgy chords I just improvised on the spot and then I added to that- that's a pretty cool way of composing 'cause you get spontaneity and thought out stuff combined.

Kinda of reminds of some boss stage in an old nintendo game. Pretty cool!
