DPDT phase question

Hi all,
I'm wiring a neck pickup like this diagram so I can use it as a push pull phase switch.

However, I'm also wiring it as an independent volume knob for the neck pickup, so I will be moving the connection from the toggle switch from the center lug to the left lug. If the hot white wire were run to the pot instead of the DPDT switch, I would run it to the center lug.

My question is, when I reverse the toggle switch and hot wires for independent volume knob wiring, do I also move the wire that comes from the DPDT switch from the left terminal to the center? Or do I leave it on the left lug?

I have left it for now. If the pot works as a phase switch and independent volume, I assume the DPDT wire and the wire coming from the toggle switch will both go to the left lug. The white wire that would ordinarily go to the center lug will stay on the DPDT switch.

Thanks.

ArtieToo , volumes where you turn one down and it goes silent while the other remains unaffected.

I'm thinking the wire from the DPDT will probably not need to be moved since the switch doesn't have anything to do with the pot, but I thought if the left and center lugs were switched maybe *everything* should be switched.

Ah . . . then simply reverse these two connections. I think that does what you're asking.

Thank you, GuitarDoc . My source was from here:

"Now, simply interchange connections 3 and 2 on both volume pots, including the tone cap connections. That's it! Leave all connections on the tone pots untouched. You've now wired both volume pots backwards, thus decoupling them."

I was not sure if the wire from the DPDT switch should also be moved to the center lug with the hot wire. My guess is no.

The wire from the DPDT to the vol pot IS the hot wire and needs to be interchanged at the vol pot as well, just like Artie pointed out.
