Dr. Z Route 66 clips

Obviously I've managed to fanagal a Route 66. I'll have up some pics and a review tonight. I realize lots of guys aren't familiar with Dr. Zs so I figured I'd try to get some clips in a timely manner. One with the LP one with the strat. The amps is running the GT KT66s, old Wing C EF86, and JJ (IIRC) 12ax7 instead of 5751.

I recorded these in one take on my Fostex MR-8. There wasn't supposed to be any reverb, but at some point I hit the button, or the recorder just wanted me to have it....in any case it's there. The boosted parts are using my Banzai Cold Fusion.

Volume---1 o'clock
Treble----2 o'clock
Bass------A little past 1 o'clock

The volume difference on clean and dirty parts is VERY dramatic since I don't have a mastering program to smooth it all out. So, you'll need to keep your finger on the volume to adjust for the dirty part because it's 2-3 times as loud as the clean part.

LP
This is a tune I started working on today I'm calling Holy Man.

The cleans are on the neck pup only (SD Seth Lover). The dirty part is on the bridge pup only (SD 78 with Seth construction). Guitar is my 97 R8.

Strat
This is a bluesy gritty shuffle thingy I made up right there.

The cleans were on the neck pup (SD A2P), then the OD is on neck, middle (SD A2P), and bridge (SD CS A2 9K). Guitar is my 99 Big Apple Strat that's been converted to SSS. At the beginning of the solo you'll hear a delay, that's from my cable shorting and me kicking at it. :eyecrazy:

I need to change the strat's strings, they were not wanting to stay in tune, of course my fingers were hating the spacing too! lol
