Dream and mean 90 question

I have both, a mean 90 in the bridge of my santana SE and a dram in the neck. Just installed them a coupe days ago and so far i like them, but i'm not sure if the dream in the neck is doing what I want better or worse than a mean would. I wanted a clear cleaner chimey neck, and the dream seemed like it would be the right choice over the mean so i went with it. Theres a exchange policy tho and I can return it and get the mean neck model. Anyone who's used these have an opinion on whether that would be a good move or not?

Re: Dream and mean 90 question

The Mean is EVERYTHING the Dream is not.

Exchange it as fast as you can!

Re: Dream and mean 90 question

I've got several Mean 90s in the neck and bridge and they all sound great. I've not personally tried the Dream 90, but I haven't really heard any good reviews about it.

I have to agree with Pepe and recommend exchanging the Dream for a Mean neck.

Re: Dream and mean 90 question

Thanks. I emailed GFS about this too and dream is ceramic with hotter output and less vintage sounding. I bought it thinking it was the opposite ! So it's going back for exchange. Probably cost me as much as the cost for shipping charges. Oh well. If the mean sounds like what i wanted for the neck, and i think A5 will compared to the dream's ceramic, i'll be totally satisfied with them. It's close now and the bridge i love. But i need better middle and neck chime when i roll back.

Re: Dream and mean 90 question

The other guitarist in my band has a Mean 90 with a 1meg pot in the neck of his LTD Viper and it's super clear, clean & chimey.
