Drop & Give Me D

Re: Drop & Give Me D

holy crap, this is just demo-ish for you? this sounds frickin' great! good tones all around, good playing too:)

Re: Drop & Give Me D

Groovy. Great tones and playing too. Reminds me of a song by these guys. (listen to the 'song Comatose' on that page') Same influence perhaps. I'm digging the bass.

LOL, that's a good compliment! trying to get the metal outta my system for our blues-rock fest (hopefully this coming weekend; I'll give you a buzz).

thanks - comatose said it wasn't available but severance sounded very cool. very natural sounding stuff there; gotta check them out more when I get a chance.

i just wanna say you might wanna throw a 'no homo' in there after saying something like "Drop and give me D.":smokin:

Re: Drop & Give Me D

as my bro would say:

"sounds so good it makes me want to punch a baby"

hehe, yeah, I meant it to be a play on words to "drop and give me 20" (as in pushups), but after I named it I realized "D" might be interpreted as Dick York from Bewitched. I better re-name it just to be safe.

Re: Drop & Give Me D

thanks everdrone; I'm trying to do more instrumentals, as you advised!

lol when you become the next David Roth dont mention this!! Cool solos.

In all seriousness the solos are pretty dope, one part is not in the same key but you knew that prolly a slayer bit or somethin. Very technical and in the right rythym, Sounds good! I dont like spreading myself too thin, Ive been a singer/songwriter for 11yrs and dont wanna swith to keys or drums or nothin. If you wanna keep up with the vox then get lessons and practice fo sho record when your up to speed or to listen for practice purposes I like melodyne for minor edits...but I really dig your instrumentals so thats why I said that. w3rd.

thanks for the feedback! you know what I may have done - the solos were supposed to be in D# based on the notes of the rhythms of the solo parts, and I think I accidentally did some parts in D, which would have a lot of unfitting notes. :banghead: I always end up doing something dumb like that. I guess I could just say I meant to play it weird, like lynch or sumthin', LOL. yeah, if I do any more vocals it's gonna be after vocal training.
