Hi John! My buddy AJ loaned me his stock TS-9 to compare to my TS-808 and the two modded TS-9's you did for me...

So I loaned AJ the modded DS-1 you sent me to try.

He loves it (naturally!) and he plays a Jimmie Vaughn Strat I put a set of Duncan SSL-1's and a Fralin SP43 in.

AJ plays through two amps: an old Silvertone Twin Twelve Bruce (http://www.missionamps.com) gutted and completely redesigned and which I put a Weber C12N and Celestion Vintage 30 in, and also a Sovtek Mig50 Bruce and I also gutted and rebuilt, through another old Silvertone Twin Twelve bottem with a pair of original blueframe Jensen C12Q's.

Anyways, AJ says to tell you, you did an amazing job. He's a DS-1 devotee, but he's on the look out for another to send to you and have modded like the one you sent me.

He says a guy who loves DS-1's needs two: one stock and one you've modded!

He also said he likes the modded DS-1 even better thn his Sovtek Big Muff...he meant it as a compliment. :laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2:

He's the only guy I know who can get a great tone out of a BIG Muff!
