Dual P-Rail - dual output schematic

Greetings all!

I've knocked this wiring diagram together for a custom build and would really appreciate it if someone would mind double checking it before I do the big install. It's a mix of a number of diagrams, including a '50's-style Les Paul volume and tone arrangement, the dual push-pull coil split system for the P-Rails spread across four pots, and the dual outputs and phase switch of a 70's/80's Carvin.

Bonus question: I think I can see how to include a series switch as well (although I doubt it's worth the extra effort). Given the dual outputs, what would actually happen if it were engaged?

Many thanks!

I dunno, but Imma steal (parts of) this for my own project... ;)

In all seriousness, I would think series would sum it all to one output, depending on how you wired it... while 2 P-90s in series can sound massive, I'd think the two rails in series would be the more useful sound.

I think you ought to go back to the proverbial drawing board. Are you planning on having a computer programmed to do all of the switching or are you just going to remember which switches go up or down when you change settings mid-song? I'm not quite senile yet, but there's no way I'd be able to work with that.

But to answer your question...yes, you should have a series switch. And a kill switch.......for each pup. And maybe even a separate volume and tone control for each coil in each pup. Perhaps even another output jack to send your signal to another amp.

Have you heard about Triple Shots? Quite possibly your best solution.

Glad to be of help if anything comes in handy!

The series switch query was more out of curiosity about the theory as opposed to a practical consideration... the only time I've found a series link useful is, like you say, with smaller single coil pickups.

Thanks for your input. :)
