A 59 has more high end than a PG? Sorry, but I disagree. The PG is known for having more top end sizzle. It could be the lowered mids of the 59 that make the highs appear to be more but the PG has more. The 59b is a tad hotter than a PGn but the PGb is a tad hotter than the 59b.saladin said:It's not a resistance problem. A 59 has more high end then a PG. I use the middle position alot and on my Tele (set of 59's) it sounds right. When I play my Strat, it doesn't work for me. The PGn really does sound good, but I prefer alnico V pickups. Plus, I always hated how guys in the 80's put Super Distortions in the bridge of their LP's and when I'd try them, the bridge would always overpower the neck pickup. The same reason I don't like H-S-S Strat's. I like my pickups to match sonically.
