Duncan 59 hss pots?

Hey,

After thinking about pickups for an HSS strat I have decided on Fender C69 single coils in the neck and middle and a duncan 59 in the bridge(doubt I will put a coiltap in it).

What do you guys think would be the best value pots etc for this setup? Also does anyone know what value pots the Fender custom shop put in there HSS strats stock?

The guitar has an ash body, maple neck and a maple fingerboard.

Cheers

Try staying with 250k's first. The 59 will still have plenty of bite in an ash strat. If you find the 59 could use more brightness then go to a 500k tone pot on the bridge pickup, or no tone pot on the bridge pickup (and with 250ks still everywhere else).

On one of my HSS strats I have a 500k master volume and a 500k tone pot on the bridge humbucker, with no tone pot on the middle and a 250k tone on the neck pickup. However, this guitar is not a bright sounding strat because of the all rosewood neck. With brand new strings it can be a little zingy, but after the first day of playing in the strings it gets fairly warm sounding until it's time to change strings again.

Definitely 250k. The 69s are really, really bright. 500k would be an express train to ice pick city.
