I'm really thinking of going dimarzio on this one... but i'm worried the sound will be two "shreddy"... that ain't my style... are there any Duncan pups that offer the same attributes, but aren't so "dimarzio"?

The Air Zone can't sound "Shreddy" It's too muddy and undefined.

There's absolutely nothing like those two in the duncan line. The AZ is more of a classic rock pup, rather loose, fat and powerfull. The AN is really fat smooth and singing. If you want that sound go for DMZ. And neither of the two will sound really shreaddy(i've used both so far and swear by the AN for neck positions)
