Duncan Custom versus Duncan Distortion

Hey guys: Can someone educate me on the differences in these pickups. I know they are both ceramic. I put a Custom in my SG. Sounds good, but a little thin and a little trebly. Would the Distortion sound similar but thicker? That's kind of what I am looking for...
