I found on several live hendrix recordings his tone can sound a bit trebly or shrill. I took, a chance, however, and decided to put one of these puppies in the bridge of a strat. All i can say is, "holy crap, it is awesome." Sounds full and less trebly than i was expecting. Feels like magic when i use it. I consider it one of the best gear decisions i've ever made. It's a remarkable piece of equipment and if you're on the fence, i strongly suggest you check it out. I think my next axe will likely have the full set.
