Hi,
I got a 1993 Jackson DK1 with 2 Single Coils on neck and middle-positions. I'd like to swap the neck-sc for a minihumbucker. Problem is that the now installed Single Coils just have this small baseplate where the cable comes out on the downside of the pu. Just check out the 80ies Jackson guitars-Thread here and look at the first guitar to get what I mean.
Now, when you turn around the Hot-Rails-sc upside down you see that there are some solder points on the (small) baseplate named like the wirecolors R, B, Grnd, W and G.
To get that SC fitted to the guitar I would have to cut the cable right at the pu and resolder it to those lugs. Has anyone ever done this before? I don't want to waste a new pu ^^
Cheers,
Stefan
