Duncan vs. Fender Pickup Polarity

Are the Duncan Strat single coil pickups built the same as Fender single coils with regard to wind direction and magnet polarity ? Specifically, is the Duncan Custom Flat Strat bridge pickup a 100% drop-in replacement for the typical Fender bridge pickup.

My recollection is I had to reverse the wiring on the SSL-5 when I installed it in the bridge of my Strat. It's been a long time though, so I could be misremembering. I'm pretty sure it was mentioned to do it this way in the packaging. Pickup worked great once installed per instructions.

im pretty sure thats the case. flip the hot/ground wires on the duncan and itll work fine with the fender pups
