Duncans in Hamers?

I just recieved a supposed Duncan Custom P-90 that was said to have come out of a Hamer USA. There is no logo on the back, the sticker says "3B" and the type looks different from the Vintage neck I have here. I would think if it was truly a Duncan it would have a logo on the baseplate at the very least...there is not. Does anyone have any experience with Duncan P-90s sold with other Mfg. guitars? Is this possibly a Duncan Designed (which I feel is misleading to call it a "Duncan")? I certainly hope not. $30 for a Designed?

Re: Duncans in Hamers?

You have a real Seymour Duncan P-90 Custom I believe. It's a stock model. My Hamer Gold Top came with one. Great pickup. Especially nice, IMO, for ZZ Top style boogie and blues. Lew

Re: Duncans in Hamers?

Thanks for the reassurance Lew. All of the stock humbucker I've seen had the regular Duncan baseplates, I wonder why the P-90s don't?
